I use Cinderella 2 on macintel (macbook). Cinderella does not display the bottom toolsbar. I don't have this problem on a G5 powermac. Any help ?

I had to trash the pref file cinderella2-user.properties and re-enter my license key. It's OK now.

That's good to hear.

Maybe that's interesting for everybody: There are three configuration files that Cinderella.2 processes on startup:

1. cinderella2.properties in the installation folder
2. cinderelal2-global.properties in the installation folder
3. cinderella2-user.properties in the users' preferences folder

cinderella2.properties should not be changed, as it will change with every new Cinderella release or update.

cinderella2-global.properties is usually not present. It can be used to store site licenses on a network, for example.

cinderella2-user.properties stores all changes to the Cinderella preferences you made, including your license. You can copy this file to cinderella2-global.properties in order to make them available to all users.

On Mac OS X, the installation folder is inside the application bundle, which is a little bit confusing at first. However, if you open the application bundle from the Finder, you can go to Contents/Resources and look for the cinderella2.properties file. The preferences are in ~/Library/Preferences, as usual.

On Windows, the installation folder is the installation folder, and the user preferences are somewhere else (just use the search tool to find the file).

HTH,

The toolbars are collapsible with a double-click on them. You might have collapsed it by accident. There should be a small gray area instead of the toolbar — double-click it and it should come back.

If not, you can also trash the Cinderella user preferences in ~/Library/Preferences, the file is called cinderella2-user.properties.
