Can't Uninstall


I'm testing Cinderella 2.0 and 1.4 right now, but experience difficulties when trying to uninstall either of them (from the Software Section of the System menu in the first case and from the Uninstall option in the second case).

The operating system is Windows XP SP 3 and concerning the JavaVM (I run version 1.6.0_05 ), both applications ran fine. But after choosing to uninstall, the InstallAnywhere-Deinstallationsprogramm? freezes with no progress on the progress bar and both buttons ("Abbrechen" and "Deinstallieren") greyed out. After waiting for some time I kill the window via the task manager (which claims, the application is not responding) and any further attempts to uninstall fail, with the error message:
"Die Deinstallation konnte nicht abgeschlossen werden da ein Fehler aufgetreten ist".

Would posting my logs help? Or is this a known problem? Thanks in advance.

You may try Add/Remove 4Good, which can easily uninstall any stubborn applications. I've tried this software. It works pretty fine on XP.

just send your logs to bugs@cinderella.de - maybe it helps. Actually, you can just remove the installation folder of Cinderella, because that's the only place we install files to.
