Cinderella 2 - mess of menu language


Hi
I have installed Cinderella 2 (v 2.0.17), on an Italian Window XP Pro system, version 2002, SP2, with JAVA machine JDK1.6.0_03, and I have got menu both in Italian and English language, mixed together (See picture in the attached file).
For solving this minor defect, open the configuration file “cinderella2.properties” and change the line “cinderella.locale=” as the following
cinderella.locale=en

for restoring the local English menu

or
cinderella.locale=it

for restoring the local Italian menu.
(But it is useless because there is no Italian documentation in the Cinderella 2 package. )

In any case you can refer to the freeware Cinderella 1.4 Italian documentation that is pretty good.

The portuguese version of Cinderella 2 is a little messed too. If you want, I may provide a (brazilian) portuguese version.

thank you for your comment. You can also change the language by opening the Inspector and selecting the mode and languages tab.

By the way, if you know anybody who would like to complete the Italian translation, please let us know!

Sorry, I don’t know anyone for Italian translating
For my own study I am translating each page day after day, when necessary. I have come across in Cinderella 2 since only two weeks and I am still in the learning phase “how to use it…”
I presume it will take 1-2 months for reading, understanding and translating everything.
I send you, as example, the first html page “Preface to Cinderella2” . You’ll note that I have no altered the html structure of the page, as I am only using a text-editor. (For images, we’ll see…).
I have to say that I am surprised and favourably impressed of the ver. 2 enhancements. The Physics-Lab? part is just what I was searching for my private lessons.
At the first sight, it looks very cool. Cinderella seems “genial”!

that's great - however, it will be a lot of work to translate everything. If you contact me via bugs@cinderella.de we can discuss other options.
